Former NCB officer Sameer Wankhede has initiated legal proceedings against Rakhi Sawant, accusing her of defamation. He has also sought a compensation of ₹11 lakh in this case. The case has been registered at the Dindoshi City Civil Court in Malad, Mumbai. According to Wankhede’s plea, Rakhi Sawant allegedly conspired with her lawyer to tarnish the image of the complainant and defame him.

In a conversation with ETimes, Rakhi’s lawyer stated, “When someone speaks the truth for the welfare of the public under Section 499 of the IPC, it cannot be considered defamation.” He further added that they would respond strongly to Wankhede’s allegations and are prepared to pay ₹11.01 lakh if the charges against them are proven true. As of now, Rakhi Sawant has not responded to these allegations. It’s worth noting that Sameer Wankhede was previously in the limelight for his involvement in the drug case related to Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan. During that time, Rakhi Sawant, along with several other celebrities, stood in support of Aryan Khan.
