iPhone 17 May Feature a Display Similar to Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, Special Focus on Display, Details Revealed

The iPhone 17 might come with a display similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, according to recent leaks.

What to Expect from the Display?

According to a post shared by leaker ‘Instant Digital’ on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, the iPhone 17 could launch with a “super hard anti-reflective layer,” which would offer significantly higher scratch resistance compared to the Ceramic Shield present in the current model, iPhone 15. According to Instant Digital, “Apple has purchased new coating equipment from Japan, which has been integrated into the Chinese supply chain.” This equipment’s usage is likely to be seen in upcoming iPhones. Incorporating such a feature could make the smartphone more durable and appealing compared to other models.

It’s worth noting that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra features Corning Gorilla Glass Armor, known for its 75% glare reduction and scratch resistance features. The leak does not mention anything about Gorilla Glass Armor. Apple has been working with Corning for quite some time, indicating that for the iPhone 17, Corning might develop a custom solution under a different brand name. The company has not made any announcements regarding this matter.
