Vivo has launched the Vivo X Fold 3, the world’s first foldable smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It comes with wireless charging support.

The new Vivo X Fold 3 features a 6.53-inch AMOLED external screen and an 8.03-inch foldable AMOLED internal screen, both offering a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, it includes an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor on both screens.
Features
Based on Android 14, it boasts Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, IR blaster, and an aluminum alloy frame. Weighing 236 grams, its dimensions are 159.96×72.55×11.2 mm when folded and 159.96×142.4×5.2mm when unfolded. The smartphone is equipped with an IPX8 rating, armor glass, carbon fiber hinge, UTG + impact-resistant film, a 5700mAh battery with 100W wired charging, and 50W wireless charging support.
Camera
The handset features a 50-megapixel omnivision OV50H (with OIS support) primary camera, 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 ultra-wide camera, and a 64-megapixel telephoto camera with OIS support.
Availability and Price
The smartphone is available in two color options, black and white, with different storage variants. The price of the 16GB + 512GB model is approximately ₹1,17,100, while the 1GB + 1TB model costs ₹1,28,800.
Stay tuned for its imminent release in India, touted to be the thinnest foldable smartphone yet. However, the company has not yet announced the launch date in India.
