PM Kisan Scheme: Important Update for Farmers, 17th Installment to be Released Soon! Will Funds Arrive in Your Account? Here’s How to Check, eKYC Mandatory

The PM Kisan Yojana (Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi) stands as one of the pivotal schemes by the Central Government aimed at providing financial assistance to farmers across the nation. Under this scheme, farmers receive an annual financial aid of ₹6000, distributed in three equal installments of ₹2000 each, credited directly to their bank accounts every four months.

As of now, the scheme has already disbursed the 16th installment, and farmers are eagerly awaiting the release of the 17th installment.

When Will the 17th Installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi be Released?

According to the rules of the PM Kisan Yojana, the first installment is released between April and July, the second installment between August and November, and the third installment between December and March. In other words, the 17th installment is expected to be released between April and July. However, with the Lok Sabha elections scheduled between April and June and the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct, speculations suggest that the next installment might be disbursed towards the end of June, coinciding with the announcement of election results. Nevertheless, official confirmation regarding the final date is still awaited.

Who Will Benefit from the ₹2000 Benefit?

As per the scheme’s guidelines, only those farmers who have completed the eKYC process will be eligible for the 17th installment. Farmers can complete the eKYC process either through the PM Kisan mobile app, Common Service Centers (CSC), or the official PM Kisan website using OTP verification.

It is crucial for beneficiary farmers to ensure that their Aadhaar card is linked with their bank account for successful verification. Failure to complete this process may result in the installment being withheld. Moreover, any discrepancies in bank account details, name, gender, or Aadhaar number provided in the application form may also lead to disqualification from receiving the installment.

How to Complete eKYC for PM Kisan Yojana

  • Provide your Aadhaar number and submit it.
  • You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP to complete the eKYC process.

Alternatively, farmers can download the PM Kisan app from the Google Play Store, log in using their Aadhaar number and beneficiary ID, enter the OTP received on their mobile number, and complete the eKYC process through facial authentication.

To check the status of their application and ensure eligibility for the ₹2000 benefit, farmers can visit the official website (https://pmkisan.gov.in/), select the ‘Know Your Status’ option, enter their registration number or mobile number and captcha, and submit. Additionally, farmers can also access the beneficiary list on the PM Kisan portal by selecting the ‘Beneficiary List’ option, entering their state, district, block, and village names, and downloading the list to verify their eligibility.
