Imtiaz Ali, currently in the limelight for his film “Amar Singh Chamkila,” which revolves around the life of the original rockstar from Punjab, Singga, recently addressed the buzz surrounding sequels to “Jab We Met 2” and “Love Aaj Kal 3.” When asked about these sequels in a recent interview, the filmmaker finally opened up.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Imtiaz Ali discussed the possibility of sequels to both of his hit films. While he did not outright deny the possibility of sequels, he acknowledged that he is not currently working on them.

He stated, “So far, there is no ‘Love Aaj Kal 3’ or ‘Jab We Met 2.’ I don’t know whether I should make a sequel or not, but I never say ‘no,’ although there are no plans at the moment. Let’s see what happens. I have three scripts that I am eagerly waiting to work on.”
A while ago, there were reports suggesting the development of a sequel to the Bollywood superhit film “Jab We Met,” released in 2007, starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor. The movie was a massive success at the box office and not only changed Imtiaz Ali’s destiny but also proved to be a milestone in the careers of Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
As for “Love Aaj Kal,” the first installment was released in 2009, featuring Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone. Its sequel, “Love Aaj Kal 2,” was released in 2020, starring Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan in lead roles.
