The JEE Main Session 2 exam is set to commence from April 4 and will continue until April 12. On the days of the exam, students will need to adhere to certain rules. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has also released guidelines related to the exam.
Important Points to Remember
- Two Shifts for the Exam: The JEE Main Paper 1 exam will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will be from 9 am to 12 pm, while the second shift will be from 3 pm to 6 pm. This time, the exam will be conducted in English as well as in 11 regional languages.
- Allowed Items in the Exam Hall: On the day of the JEE Main exam, candidates will be allowed to carry certain selected items along with the admit card and self-declaration form. This list includes a transparent black or blue ballpoint pen, a photograph to be affixed on the attendance sheet, and a transparent water bottle. Additionally, diabetic candidates will be allowed to carry sugar tablets and fruits. However, mobile phones, calculators, smartphones, and other electronic devices will not be allowed. School ID cards will also not be considered valid.
What to Wear and What Not to Wear?
Candidates will need to adhere to the dress code at the exam center. Wear loose clothes and ensure that there are not too many pockets in the attire. Avoid wearing metallic items. Do not wear a cap or any kind of muffler. Choose simple clothing. Avoid wearing jewelry or accessories. Carry a handbag or purse sparingly.
Follow These Rules
- Report to the examination center 2 hours before the exam.
- Carry the admit card, ID proof, photograph, and self-declaration form.
- Each candidate will be allocated a seat displaying the roll number. Find your seat and sit there. Changing seats may result in the cancellation of the exam.
- Rough sheets will be provided at the exam center for calculations and rough work. Hand over the rough sheet to the invigilator after the exam is over.
These guidelines are crucial for the smooth conduct of the JEE Main 2024 Session 2 exam. Candidates are advised to read and follow them carefully to avoid any inconvenience.
