In the midst of escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, the Indian diplomatic missions have issued advisories for their citizens, urging them to maintain peace and adhere to security protocols. With recent hostilities between the two nations, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs has advised against travel to both countries until further notice, emphasizing the importance of safety.
The conflict intensified following reported attacks by Israel on Iran’s diplomatic mission in Damascus Syria
on April 1, Allegedly in retaliation for the death of two top commanders in an Iranian response. Iran retaliated by launching over 330 missiles and drone strikes on Israeli targets, heightening tensions in the Middle East. Concerned about the safety of Indian citizens in Israel and Iran, the Indian diplomatic missions have issued a crucial advisory.
Through their social media channels, the Indian embassies have stated, “In light of recent events in the region, all Indian nationals in Israel are advised to remain calm and adhere to the security protocols issued by the local authorities. The embassy is closely monitoring the situation and is in contact with Israeli authorities and members of the Indian community to ensure the safety of all our citizens.” The embassies have also urged Indian nationals to register with the embassy through a link provided in advance.

Prior to this, on April 12, the Indian Embassy in Tehran had issued an advisory advising against travel to Iran or Israel, given the prevailing situation. They had also shared an email ID and two phone numbers for assistance, urging all Indian nationals residing in Iran to register themselves and providing a link for registration.
Amid growing concerns over Iran’s retaliatory actions and escalating tensions, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi has expressed serious concerns about the increasing hostilities between Israel and Iran, posing a threat to peace and security in the region. It marks the first time Iran has launched an attack on Israeli soil. Despite hundreds of missiles being fired on Israel, no country has yet taken steps to evacuate its citizens from the region.
