The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the results of the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2023 on April 15th. According to the results, Aditya Shrivastav secured the first rank. From the general category, 347 candidates passed, while 115 from the EWS category, 303 from OBC, 165 from SC, and 86 from ST categories were successful. In total, 1016 candidates have cleared the examination. Candidates can check their results on the official website, upsc.gov.in.
The preliminary examination for the UPSC Civil Services was conducted last year on May 28th. Candidates who qualified the preliminary exam were summoned for the UPSC CSE mains exam in September 2023. Subsequently, between January 2nd and April 9th, 2024, a total of 1026 candidates were called for the personality test.

Women have been securing top ranks in the UPSC Civil Services Examination for the past two years. In 2021, Shruti Sharma secured All India Rank 1, while Ishita Kishor topped in 2022. Additionally, Garima Lohiya, Uma Harthi, and Smriti Mishra also secured top ranks in 2022. In 2021, the top three ranks were also held by women, with Ankita Agrawal securing AIR 2 and Chandigarh’s Gamini Singla securing AIR 3.
