NATRAX: Asia’s Longest High-Speed Test Track, Nothing Less Than Paradise for Speed Enthusiasts

Sports or adventure, speed always gets everyone’s heart racing. Racing cars communicating with the air fills everyone with excitement. Did you know that there is a place in India that is nothing less than paradise for speed enthusiasts? Let me tell you about this place located in the heart of the country, Madhya Pradesh.

NATRAX: Asia’s Longest High-Speed Test Track

National Automotive Test Tracks or NATRAX is Asia’s longest and the world’s fifth-largest high-speed vehicle testing track. It is oval-shaped and 16 meters wide with four free lanes. It’s a marvel of modern engineering where not only two-wheelers and cars but also tractors and trailers can have their maximum speed determined.

Spread across a thousand acres in Pithampur, not far from Indore in Madhya Pradesh, NATRAX can accommodate more than 20 palaces. With 14 test tracks and numerous testing facilities, NATRAX has all the modern amenities that help in determining the maximum limit of vehicles.

Special Features of NATRAX

  • Fatigue Track: Tests the durability and determines how durable a vehicle is.
  • Gradient Track: Tests the torque capacity of vehicles and the parking brake capability on slopes.
  • Sustainability Track: Designed to simulate driving on mountain roads, it also tests the vehicle’s cooling performance.
  • Dynamic Platform: Designed for handling and stability testing.

Vehicles can be tested on the 11.3-kilometer-long high-speed test track at speeds of up to 375 kilometers per hour. To fully evaluate performance, vehicles have to undergo several challenging tests. Different tracks have been built here for all these tests, so now companies do not need to go to any other country for high-speed testing or any automotive test.

Let’s explore these four tracks in detail

  • Fatigue Track: Tests durability and determines how durable a vehicle is.
