PM Modi’s Accusation Towards Congress

During his visit to Rajasthan, PM Modi addressed massive rallies. Speaking at a public meeting in Banswara, Modi accused the Congress of distributing property to Muslims if they come to power at the center. For this, Modi also referred to a statement made by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Modi said that Singh had allegedly said that the ‘first right’ to the country’s resources belongs to the minority community. PM Modi said, “This is an urban Naxal mindset, they won’t even spare your mother and sister’s mangalsutra. They will take it away. They will distribute it among those, about whom the Manmohan Singh government had said that the first right on the property belongs to them. The extent to which they will go, they will take away everything.”

After PM Modi’s statement, once again the country’s politics has heated up. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge termed it a hate speech. He said that today, through Modi’s agitated speech, it is evident that India is winning in the first phase of the results. Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal questioned Modi, “What kind of politics and culture is this?”

PM Modi’s Controversial Statement

PM Modi delivered strong statements during his rallies in Rajasthan. He accused the Congress of announcing in their manifesto that they would distribute property to intruders. Modi questioned, “Is it okay to snatch your hard-earned money and give it to intruders?” He further added, “Showing gold in the lives of mothers and sisters is not done for showing off, it is associated with their dignity. You are talking about taking it away in your manifesto? Saying that we will take gold and distribute it to everyone.”
