In a recent interview with director Tushar Hiranandani, insights were shared about how Suriya played a pivotal role in convincing Jyothika to return to Hindi cinema with the film “Srikanth: Aa Raha Hai Sabki Aankhein Kholne,” featuring Rajkummar Rao.
Jyothika, who recently made her comeback in Hindi cinema with the film “Shaitaan,” had initially turned down the offer to star in “Srikanth.” However, it was Suriya’s influence that ultimately persuaded her to reconsider.

Approached her for the role of Srikanth Bolla’s teacher in the film. Despite her initial refusal, Jyothika later had a change of heart after discussing the script with Suriya. Tushar recounted the moment when Jyothika called him to confirm her participation in the project after Suriya had read the script and encouraged her not to miss out on the opportunity.
Interestingly, Jyothika agreed to star in “Srikanth” before committing to “Shaitaan.” Tushar mentioned that theirs was the first film she agreed to do after a prolonged hiatus from Hindi cinema. Subsequently, she also signed up for “Shaitaan” upon persuasion from Mukesh Chhabra, who reached out to Tushar to convince Jyothika to join the cast.

Having debuted in Hindi with “Doli Saja Ke Rakhna” in 1998, she transitioned to South Indian cinema and gained immense popularity. Her decision to return to Hindi cinema with projects like “Srikanth” and “Shaitaan” has been eagerly awaited by fans.
“Srikanth,” slated for release on May 10, also features actors Sharad Kelkar and Alaya F in lead roles alongside Rajkummar Rao and Jyothika. Apart from her film projects, Jyothika has also filmed for the Netflix web series “Dabba Cartel,” adding to her diverse body of work across different platforms.
As Jyothika gears up for her Hindi comeback, her fans anticipate witnessing her talent and charisma once again on the big screen, reaffirming her status as a versatile and accomplished actor in Indian cinema.
