IMD Red Alert for These States due to Heatwave

In northeastern states, heavy rainfall alerts have been issued. Additionally, concerns about heatwaves are prevalent in Bihar, West Bengal, and Odisha. Arrangements for water supply and shade are being made in public areas to protect people from the scorching sun. On the other hand, heavy rainfall is expected in northeastern states, with precautions advised for public safety.

Expectation of Rain with Thunderstorms

Due to increased pressure in the western Himalayan region, there’s a possibility of light rainfall in the northern and western plains of India. The strong winds on Monday evening brought relief to Delhi-NCR, providing some respite from the heat. The Meteorological Department also forecasted thunderstorms and light rainfall with gusty winds on Tuesday, which could provide relief from the heat in the capital region.
