Lok Sabha Election 2024, Preparation to Woo Voters in Madhya Pradesh Ahead of Fourth Phase

As the Lok Sabha election in Madhya Pradesh reaches its fourth phase, the campaign will come to a halt from 6 p.m. today. Both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress have been actively engaging with voters before the campaign freeze. Voting for the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh is scheduled for May 13.

In the fourth phase, a total of eight seats will go to polls in Madhya Pradesh. The election campaign will conclude this evening, signaling a final push from political leaders to connect with voters through rallies, roadshows, meetings, and interactions with party workers. While Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is set to conduct roadshows in Indore and Ratlam, former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh will participate in meetings and gatherings with supporters.

Voting for the Fourth Phase

Madhya Pradesh has a total of 29 Lok Sabha seats, with voting taking place in four phases. Three phases of voting have already been completed, leaving the final and fourth phase with voting on eight seats scheduled for May 13. Today marks the end of campaigning before the fourth phase. Both the BJP and Congress leaders have intensified efforts to reach out to voters before the campaign halt.

The eight seats where voting will take place in the fourth phase include Devas, Indore, Ujjain, Dhar, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Khargone, and Khandwa Lok Sabha constituencies.

Campaign Activities of Political Leaders

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will conduct roadshows in Ratlam, Jawra, and Indore today. He will also address a public meeting in the Betma constituency of the Depalpur Vidhan Sabha. Additionally, Pradesh BJP President Vishnudatt Sharma will participate in a youth convention in Mohankheda of the Dhar Lok Sabha constituency and a roadshow in Agar of the Devas Lok Sabha constituency.

Former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will address public meetings in Khachrod, Alot, and Makdon. Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda will participate in various programs in the Mandsaur Lok Sabha constituency, and Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya will attend various events in the Indore Lok Sabha constituency.

On the Congress front, senior leader and former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh will address gatherings in Garoth and Sitamau of the Mandsaur Lok Sabha constituency and attend a meeting with officials and party workers in Jawra. Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari and former Minister Sajjan Singh Verma will participate in various programs in the Devas, Sehore, and Shajapur districts.

As the campaigning halts and leaders make their final appeals to voters, the stage is set for the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh, shaping the political landscape of the state.
