Lok Sabha Election 2024, Voting Commences on 8 Seats in Madhya Pradesh, Decision of 163 Million Voters to Determine Candidates’ Futures

The fourth and final phase of voting for the Lok Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh has begun. On Monday, polling started at 7 AM for the eight Lok Sabha seats in the Malwa region, including Ujjain, Indore, Dewas, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Dhar, Khargone, and Khandwa. The fate of 74 candidates will be sealed by approximately 163 million voters through Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) across nearly 18 thousand polling booths by 6 PM.

Enthusiasm Among Voters

There is a visible enthusiasm among voters regarding the fourth and final phase of voting. Long queues of voters have been observed at polling booths since morning. Everyone is casting their vote with great enthusiasm. Moreover, in some areas of Madhya Pradesh, the atmosphere is further charged with the occurrence of rain, yet this has not dampened the spirits of the voters.

Appeal by CM Yadav

Before the commencement of voting for the fourth phase, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, through social media, urged voters to utilize their vote wisely. He stated, “Voting is the identity of an alert citizen. It is a tribute to the patriots who sacrificed for the country’s independence and bestowed upon us the gift of democracy. Voting is our duty and pride. Vote for the welfare of the nation.”

While voters across the state are showing great enthusiasm, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also exercised his franchise along with his entire family in his parliamentary constituency. After casting his vote, he said, “I have fulfilled my duty, and I urge you all to fulfill yours by casting your vote.”
