Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, which commenced from Manipur, has reached Uttar Pradesh, but Priyanka Gandhi, a senior Congress leader and Rahul Gandhi’s sister, has fallen ill just before its arrival.
Priyanka Gandhi’s Unexpected Health Setback Delays Participation in Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra
The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, led by Rahul Gandhi, has reached Uttar Pradesh after starting its journey from Manipur. Today, the yatra reached Chandauli district, located on the Uttar Pradesh-Bihar border. Initially, it was announced that Priyanka Gandhi, a senior leader of the Congress party and sister of Rahul Gandhi, would join the yatra upon its arrival in Uttar Pradesh. However, Priyanka Gandhi, through a tweet, revealed that she won’t be able to participate as she has fallen ill and is currently admitted to the hospital. Priyanka assured that once she recovers, she will join the yatra.
The yatra, which began on January 14 from Manipur, has now reached Uttar Pradesh. Priyanka Gandhi, known for her active involvement in Uttar Pradesh politics, was initially expected to participate in the yatra within the state. However, her sudden illness has raised questions, as she has not joined the yatra even after 34 days.
Priyanka’s Tweet Before Reaching UP
Priyanka Gandhi expressed her eagerness to join the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Uttar Pradesh through a tweet: “I was eagerly awaiting the arrival of Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Uttar Pradesh. Unfortunately, due to illness, I had to be admitted to the hospital today. I will join the yatra as soon as I am feeling better. Wishing all the yatris heading to Chandauli-Varanasi today and my colleagues and dear brothers in Uttar Pradesh working hard for the journey all the best.”
Priyanka Gandhi has previously participated in the Bharat Jodo Yatra, which moved from south to north. Besides her, her husband Robert Vadra, mother Sonia Gandhi, and both of Priyanka Gandhi’s children also accompanied Rahul Gandhi in the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
As Priyanka Gandhi battles her illness, the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra continues its journey, with a focus on raising awareness about issues concerning the common people and promoting justice and inclusivity. We wish Priyanka Gandhi a swift recovery so she can soon resume her active participation in political engagements.
