In the ongoing political landscape of Madhya Pradesh, the Congress party has found itself in the midst of discussions, primarily revolving around a recent poster controversy. The recent upheaval, following the ‘Kamal Nath episode,’ has now escalated into what BJP’s media in-charge, Ashish Agrawal, describes as the Congress’s transition from a ‘three-act drama’ to an intense poster war.
BJP Targets Congress Posters
On February 19, a banner poster was created in Bhopal highlighting a Congress dharna (sit-in protest) featuring prominent leaders Digvijay Singh and Kamal Nath. The poster prominently showcased Rahul Gandhi and the state president, Jitu Patwari. However, a subsequent poster has emerged from Raghogarh, revealing an interesting twist. In this newer version, Jitu Patwari is mysteriously absent from Digvijay Singh’s poster. Seizing this opportunity, Ashish Agrawal took to social media, asking, “What is your role in my poster? Congress is tarnished by its own trivial actions!”
The ‘Three-Act Drama’ Unfolds
Agrawal highlighted the evolving narrative of the Congress party’s internal dynamics using a metaphorical reference to a three-act drama. He emphasized the party’s changing dynamics by pointing out that in the first instance, Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh’s photos disappeared from Jitu Patwari’s dharna poster. Now, in the second instance, Digvijay Singh’s poster does not feature Jitu Patwari. According to Agrawal, this internal turmoil is indicative of the chaos within Congress, with leaders seemingly forgetting or intentionally sidelining each other.
Disappearing Faces in Posters
The apparent disappearance of leaders’ faces from different posters reflects the ongoing power play within the Madhya Pradesh Congress. After the recent assembly elections, a new team was formed, with Jitu Patwari and Umang Singhar taking the reins from Kamal Nath and Dr. Govind Singh. However, the internal dynamics and power struggles have become more apparent, with faces missing from various posters.
The unfolding poster war in Madhya Pradesh is a visual representation of the internal strife within the Congress party. BJP’s Ashish Agrawal’s comments add a layer of political commentary, characterizing it as a ‘three-act drama.’ As the political landscape continues to evolve, it remains to be seen how these internal conflicts will impact the Congress party’s credibility and performance in the state. The poster controversy, though seemingly trivial, sheds light on the intricate power dynamics and factionalism that often characterize the political arena.
