The unusual case has emerged from the village of Delchi, located near the Makdon police station in Ujjain. According to the information available, a young woman has lodged a complaint against some acquaintances, accusing them of forcefully marrying her after giving her an intoxicating substance. The incident, which transpired around six days ago, has now prompted an official complaint.

As per the information, the case has been registered at the Makdon police station in Ujjain. The complainant, a nursing college student in Ujjain, alleges that she was forcibly administered an intoxicating substance by a group of young men, leading to her coerced marriage with one of them. The victim is identified to have personal connections with all the accused individuals.
Sequence of Events
According to the victim’s account, on a Wednesday evening, she was approached by a friend who informed her about an accident involving another friend. Subsequently, she was accompanied to Ujjain’s Madhav Nagar police station by the group of friends. However, instead of finding an accident victim, the young woman found herself in a compromising situation.
The complainant alleges that she was offered water by a friend, and unknowingly consumed a substance mixed in it. After losing consciousness, she claims to have been forcefully married to a youth. Following the incident, she was taken to the Chintamani Temple, where she was dressed in a saree and adorned with a floral garland. The entire event was recorded on video.
Police Action
Providing further details, Ujjain ASP Pradeep Sharma stated that the incident is said to have occurred on February 17. The young woman, deeply affected and frightened, attempted suicide in the aftermath. However, on February 21, she mustered the courage to file a complaint against the seven individuals involved. The police have subsequently registered a case against the accused.
