- Bajra (Pearl Millet): 1/2 cup
- Mung Dal (Green Gram): 1/2 cup
- Cumin Seeds (Jeera): 1 tablespoon
- Turmeric (Haldi): 1/4 teaspoon
- Asafoetida (Hing): 1 pinch
- Fresh Coriander (Hara Dhaniya): 1 tablespoon
- Desi Ghee: 2 tablespoons
- Salt: As per taste

- To make this flavorful and nutritious Bajra-Mung Khichdi, start by cleaning the Bajra thoroughly and soaking it in water overnight (at least 8 hours).
- The next morning, strain the soaked Bajra using a strainer and rinse it under running water at least two to three times. After washing, keep it under a sieve.
- Take whole green gram (Sabut Hara Moong) and clean it properly.
- In a pressure cooker, add the soaked Bajra and Mung Dal along with 2 cups of water.
- Add salt according to taste and close the lid of the pressure cooker. Allow it to whistle 4-5 times on a medium flame.
- In a pan, heat desi ghee. Once melted, add cumin seeds, hing, and turmeric powder. Roast it for a few seconds until it starts crackling.
- Now, add the Mung Dal and Bajra mixture to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on medium heat, stirring continuously.
