The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme remains a crucial initiative by the central government, providing farmers with financial assistance through three installments of 2000 INR each, totaling an annual sum of 6000 INR. When to Expect the 17th Installment of PM-Kisan Yojana
According to the rules of the PM-Kisan Yojana, the first installment is released between April and July, the second from August to November, and the third from December to March. With the 16th installment released on February 28, the 17th installment is anticipated between April and July. However, an official date is yet to be announced.
It is important to note that only those farmers who have linked their bank accounts with Aadhar and completed land verification under the PM-Kisan scheme receive the benefits. Reports suggest that, considering the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the next installment might be released sooner, although official confirmation is pending.
Immediate Action if the 16th Installment is Not Received
If a beneficiary has not received the funds for the 16th installment, it is essential to promptly verify three key details: eKYC completion, correct bank account linkage, and accurate information provided during the application process. Possible discrepancies, such as errors in the application form like incorrect name, city, invalid bank details, incorrect postal address, beneficiary account code issues, or an invalid account number, might lead to a delay in fund transfer.

How to Complete eKYC
- Visit the official PM-Kisan Yojana website and click on the ‘e-KYC’ option under the Farmer Corner.
- Provide your Aadhar number.
- Enter the OTP sent to your mobile number.
- If unable to complete eKYC online, visit the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) to perform OTP-based eKYC.
- Alternatively, visit your bank to fill an eKYC form, submit necessary documents, undergo biometric verification, and complete the process.
Check your Name in the PM-Kisan List
- Visit the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi official website (https://pmkisan.gov.in/).
- Click on the ‘Know Your Status’ option displayed on the portal.
- Enter your registration number; if you don’t have it, click on ‘Know your registration no.’
- Provide your mobile number and captcha. Submit the OTP received.
- After entering the registration number, your status will be displayed.
- If you wish to see the names of beneficiaries in your village, select the ‘Beneficiary List’ option and enter your state, district, block, and village details.
