In the realm of technology, every day unveils new possibilities that leave us pondering. The students of MNNIT, in collaboration with the Society of Automotive Engineers Club, have developed an electric bike that not only showcases their technical prowess but also integrates safety features like smoke detection, alcohol detection, and hill assist.
These MNNIT students participated in a competition organized by the Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers in Bhopal, where they showcased their shock-resistant electric bike. Their creation earned them accolades, winning the Best Design and Future Award. With 70 teams from across the country participating in this competition, the MNNIT students demonstrated their prowess and innovative ideas.
MNNIT Students Unveil Electric Bike with Auto Emergency Contact, Alcohol Detection, and More
The electric bike designed by students at Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology boasts additional safety features such as auto emergency contact. In the event of an accident, the bike sends an alert to pre-registered numbers. The inclusion of hill assist, a feature commonly found in cars, adds to the bike’s overall safety.
What sets this electric bike apart are its smoke and alcohol detection features. If someone attempts to operate the bike under the influence of alcohol, it simply won’t start. The smoke detection feature enhances safety, ensuring a secure riding experience.
The top speed of this electric bike is 70 kilometers per hour, and its battery can be fully charged in four hours, providing a range of up to 60 kilometers. Additionally, it comes with an anti-theft alarm to further enhance security. The approximate cost of this innovative electric bike is around 1.30 lakh rupees.
The students of MNNIT have not only demonstrated their technical acumen but have also showcased a commitment to safety and innovation. Their electric bike stands as a testament to the endless possibilities that technology can offer in creating a safer and smarter mode of transportation.
