Electric 3 Wheelers Sale In February 2024

Electric two-wheelers have paved the way for the success of electric 3-wheelers in India. Particularly popular among business owners for cargo and passenger purposes, electric rickshaws have become a staple in urban transportation, contributing significantly to the earnings of their owners. Many companies have entered this market, but the Mahindra Group stands out as the leader in electric 3-wheeler sales.

Mahindra Dominates the Market

In the preceding month, the Mahindra Group achieved a remarkable feat by selling 5,010 electric 3-wheelers, marking a 33% annual increase and a 7% monthly surge. The lion’s share of this success goes to Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited, contributing to 4,707 units sold and witnessing a notable 10% monthly growth. Additionally, Mahindra and Mahindra Limited sold 291 units, while Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles Private Limited contributed 12 units to the overall sales figure.

VeeEss Eelectric and Saira Electric

Following Mahindra, VeeEss Eelectric emerged as the second-highest seller of electric 3-wheelers in India, with 3,356 units sold in February 2024. Saira Electric Auto Private Limited secured the third position by selling 2,090 units, closely followed by Delhi Electric Auto Private Limited, which sold 1,990 electric 3-wheelers. Piaggio Vehicles Private Limited also made it to the top five, selling 1,990 units.

Companies Beyond the Top 5

Bajaj Auto Limited, despite being outside the top 5, made a significant impact by selling 1,379 units. Mini Metro EV, Unique International, and Hotez Corporation India secured their places in the top 10 by selling 1,154, 1,028, and 996 units, respectively.

The overall sales performance of companies producing 3-wheelers has shown an annual surge, reflecting the changing dynamics of the market. These figures, provided by the Federation of Automobile Dealership Associations, underscore the growing acceptance and popularity of electric 3-wheelers in India.
