Abu Dhabi BAPS Hindu Mandir, A Spiritual Oasis Drawing Thousands

In a surprising turn of events, the newly inaugurated Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, is witnessing scenes reminiscent of Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir. The grand temple, inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 14, has quickly become a focal point, attracting an overwhelming number of visitors.

A Magnificent Oasis

Spanning across approximately 27 acres, the Abu Dhabi BAPS Hindu Mandir stands as a magnificent testament to architectural and spiritual brilliance. The inauguration ceremony, attended by PM Modi and other prominent leaders, marked the beginning of a new era for the Hindu community in the UAE.

Overwhelming Turnout

Since its public opening, the temple has seen an extraordinary surge in visitors, with the first Sunday witnessing a gathering of over 65,000 devotees and tourists. On March 3, a staggering number of participants flocked to the temple, with more than 40,000 enthusiasts arriving in the morning and an additional 25,000 in the evening.

Despite the massive influx, the attendees demonstrated commendable discipline, forming orderly queues and patiently waiting to enter the sacred premises. The well-coordinated efforts of BAPS volunteers and temple staff received accolades from the visitors.

Devotees Express Joy

Devotees and tourists who had the opportunity to witness the grandeur of the Abu Dhabi Hindu Mandir expressed their joy and satisfaction. Suman Rai from London shared, “I have never seen such an incredible spectacle among thousands of people. I was worried I might have to wait for hours and wouldn’t be able to have a peaceful darshan. However, we had a wonderful experience.”

Praveena Shah, a differently-abled pilgrim from Kerala, praised the meticulous planning and assistance provided by the temple staff, saying, “I am differently-abled, and despite the massive crowd, the staff took care of everyone. I am grateful.”

A Symbol of Unity

Piyush from Portland remarked that the temple serves as a beautiful representation of unity among different communities. Meanwhile, Luis from Mexico appreciated the exquisite stone craftsmanship, adding, “The temple provides an opportunity to witness India’s cultural heritage.”

In conclusion, the Abu Dhabi BAPS Hindu Mandir has quickly become a spiritual oasis, drawing people from various backgrounds and communities.
