The process of admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses in Madhya Pradesh colleges is set to commence from May 1. The schedule for this has been released by the Department of Higher Education.
Following the announcement of the 12th-grade results, the admission process in colleges will kick off. Students aspiring to pursue UG, PG, and B.Ed. courses will have the opportunity to apply for admissions in both government and private colleges. This year, admission will be facilitated through two main rounds of counseling along with college-level counseling.
The schedule released by the Department of Higher Education outlines the following key dates
Commencement of Admission
- Registration for UG courses will begin on May 1 and continue until May 20.
- Registration for PG courses will take place from May 2 to May 21.
- Document verification will also be conducted during these dates.
Counseling Rounds
- Two rounds of online counseling have been scheduled.
- The third round, which will involve college-level counseling, is set to commence from June 21.
Fee and Procedure
- After registration, students will receive a waiver of ₹350 for the first round of counseling and college-level counseling.
- Admission will be based on merit.
- Upon allocation of UG seats in the first round, students will be required to submit their fees between May 25 and June 3.
Second Round of Counseling
- The second round of counseling for graduation courses will start on May 27.
- For postgraduate courses, the admission process for the second round will begin on May 28.
- The second round of counseling will run until July 3.
