After firing 28 employees for objecting to cooperation with Israel, Google CEO Sundar Pichai advised staff against office politics

In the aftermath of the company’s decision to terminate the employment of 28 individuals, Sundar Pichai penned a blog post addressing the entire sequence of events for his employees. Through this blog post, Pichai provided firm guidance to employees, emphasizing the importance of focusing on work upon entering the office, rather than getting entangled in office politics.

Pichai highlighted Google’s culture of fostering open dialogue from the outset

Which encourages the development of superior products and taking action on good ideas. He reminded employees to adhere to the company’s policies, emphasizing that the work conducted at Google is business-related, and therefore, conflicts or discussions related to politics should be avoided.

This advice from Pichai echoes similar guidance previously given by Google’s Head of Security

Chris Rackow, who also encouraged employees to maintain rationality, emphasizing the company’s goal of organizing the world’s information and providing trustworthy information.

The entire issue stems from a joint contract signed by Google’s parent company, Alphabet Inc., and Amazon.com to provide AI and cloud services to Israel. Some employees opposed this project, leading to their termination from the company. Consequently, Google employees have been questioning the work culture, prompting Sundar Pichai to address the issue through a blog post.
