Bank Holiday Notice
For all bank users, it’s essential to complete any pending banking tasks promptly as the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced a total of 13 bank holidays in the month of May. These holidays include various state-specific festivals along with weekly offs on Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays.
Impact on Banking Services
During these holidays, banks will remain closed in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Telangana, Manipur, Kerala, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Bihar, Kerala, Punjab, and Tripura due to various festivals and events such as Maharashtra Day, Labour Day, Lok Sabha Elections, Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti, Basava Jayanti, Buddha Purnima, and others. Consequently, services like checkbook and passbook issuance may be affected, although online services will continue uninterrupted.

Despite bank closures, customers can leverage online banking services, including UPI transactions, mobile banking, internet banking, and digital payments. These digital services remain unaffected by bank holidays, allowing users to transfer funds, withdraw cash from ATMs, make payments using credit or debit cards, and perform inter-account transfers seamlessly.
