Elvish was apprehended by the police last Sunday when he arrived to meet someone in Sector 29, Noida. Senior advocate Umesh Bhati Devta stated that Elvish, Ishwar, and Vinay appeared for a hearing before Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Jay Hind Kumar Singh. Bhati mentioned that both sides presented their arguments, and after hearing them, the court granted bail to Elvish and his companions.

Background of the Case

The incident dates back to November 2, 2023, when officials from the People’s Institute for Animals lodged a complaint at the Sector 49 police station against Elvish Yadav and six others for allegedly poisoning a snake. Subsequently, the police arrested four individuals, and Elvish was detained last Sunday in connection with the case.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Noida, Vidya Sagar Mishra, confirmed that a case was registered under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, against Elvish Yadav and others.
