BJP Holds Protest Against Women Oppression, Leader Says – Either Stop Atrocities or President Should Dismiss Mamata Government

In response to the increasing incidents of women oppression and atrocities under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee’s government in West Bengal, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) staged a protest on the streets. The Gwalior unit of the BJP expressed their anger today by holding a demonstration, condemning the rising incidents of women atrocities under the governance of the female Chief Minister. BJP leaders stated that either these atrocities should cease, or they demand the dismissal of the Mamata government by the President.

The BJP is actively opposing the Mamata government nationwide, especially focusing on the escalating crimes, particularly against women. Although mastermind Shahjahan Sheikh has been arrested by the police, the BJP remains dissatisfied with the response and conduct of the Mamata government.

Ministers, District President, and Several Officials Join the Protest

In Gwalior, party leaders held a demonstration at Phoolbagh Chowk today. The protest witnessed the participation of Cabinet Minister Pradyumn Singh Tomar, District President Abhay Chaudhary, along with hundreds of state and district-level officials. They voiced their slogans against the Mamata government, expressing their discontent.

Energy Minister Pradyumn Singh Tomar stated that the Trinamool Congress-led government in West Bengal is allowing atrocities against women, and criminals are roaming openly. When the court orders, the police, under Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s instructions, apprehends the offenders. The BJP vehemently condemns these actions and demands strict action against such behavior.

BJP States – Either Stop Atrocities or President Should Dismiss the Mamata Government

District President Abhay Chaudhary emphasized that the BJP strongly condemns the atrocities committed by Shahjahan Sheikh against women. The party is demanding the government take strict action against him and treat him as a criminal, not as a guest. Chaudhary further insisted that if the government fails to take appropriate action against the offenders, their demand is for the President to intervene and dismiss the Mamata government.

It remains to be seen how the protest and demands of the BJP will impact the political landscape and the ongoing situation in West Bengal.
