Boney Kapoor Breaks Silence on Sridevi Biopic Rumors, As Long as I’m Alive, It Won’t Happen

Boney Kapoor has finally responded to the rumors surrounding the making of a biopic on his late wife and superstar, Sridevi. He has put all these speculations to rest.

In an interview

when Boney Kapoor was asked about plans to make a biopic on Sridevi’s life, he categorically denied it. He said, “She was an extremely private person, and her life should remain private. I don’t think it will ever happen. As long as I’m alive, I won’t allow it.”

Sridevi had a career spanning five decades

where she worked in almost every language – Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi – appearing in over 300 films. She was honored with the Padma Shri, National Film Awards, and several Filmfare Awards. According to media reports, she tragically passed away by drowning in a bathtub in 2018, leaving her fans and family devastated.

There has been a biography written about Sridevi titled “Sridevi The Legend,” which was launched nearly five years after her demise. Boney Kapoor had approved of this book, stating that Sridevi considered its writer, Dheeraj Kumar, as a family member.

Currently, Boney Kapoor is gearing up for the release of the film “Maidaan,” starring Ajay Devgn. Directed by Amit Sharma, the film is set to hit theaters on April 10th, competing with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.”
