CBSE Results 2024: Mark Verification Schedule Released, Updates on Reevaluation, Results Post May 20

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the schedule for post-result activities such as reevaluation, mark verification, and other facilities. After the declaration of results, students will be able to avail themselves of these services online.

Result Declaration and Post-Result Activities

The CBSE has announced that the results will be declared after May 20. Alongside, the board has issued an important notice regarding post-result activities. The timeline for reevaluation, mark verification, and related processes has been declared. However, as of now, CBSE has not announced any specific dates for the release of results for class 10 and 12 board exams.

Online Facilities for Dissatisfied Students

Students dissatisfied with their results will have the opportunity to apply for mark verification, reevaluation of answer scripts, and obtaining photocopies of evaluated answer sheets. All these facilities will be accessible online for the convenience of examinees. The board has proactively announced the timeline for these activities before the results are declared, ensuring that students and parents can avail themselves of these services promptly if needed.

Schedule for Verification and Reevaluation

  • Mark Verification: Begins four days after result declaration and lasts for five days.
  • Application for Photocopies of Answer Sheets: Commences on the 19th day after result declaration and lasts for two days.
  • Reevaluation Process: Starts on the 24th day after result declaration and continues for two days.

Circulars Issued to Schools

In its notice, CBSE stated, “It has been observed that many students and parents contact CBSE after the last date to avail these facilities, citing various reasons. It is hereby informed that these activities are time-bound, and the benefit can only be availed online. Any request made through offline mode after the last date will not be accepted by the board, as it violates crucial examination security protocols.” The board has instructed all schools to disseminate this information to parents and students. CBSE will announce precise dates for these activities post-result declaration.

The CBSE’s proactive approach in announcing the schedule for post-result activities ensures transparency and timely access to essential services for students dissatisfied with their results.
