CUET UG 2024: There are going to be significant changes in the admission process to various universities based on the CUET UG scores. The UGC is planning to initiate a common counseling process for undergraduate programs similar to JEE counseling. A committee has been formed for this purpose. However, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has not made any announcement regarding the implementation of the new system this year.

Five prominent universities across the country have been selected for the Common Counseling experiment. This list includes Mizoram University, University of Hyderabad, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), BHU, and Kashmir University.
How Will Student Admission Work?
The counseling process may resemble that of JEE and NEET. Currently, students have to register separately for counseling to secure admission in their preferred universities. Under the new system, students will be allocated universities based on their scores. As per data shared by UGC Chairman M. Jagadesh Kumar, CUET UG has 32 state universities, 20 deemed universities, 98 private universities, and 6 government universities registered.
Exams Will Take Place in May, Applications Open Now It’s worth mentioning that the CUET UG exam this year will be conducted in hybrid mode. Exams will be held in various cities across the country in 63 languages from May 15 to May 31. The registration process is ongoing, and students can apply until March 31.
