ED Claims Kejriwal Eating Sweets, Mangoes, and More Deliberately for Medical Bail

Today, a hearing took place in the Rouse Avenue Court. During this session, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) made a significant claim in court regarding the Chief Minister (CM). According to the claim, Kejriwal is consuming items like potato snacks, sweets, mangoes, and other things daily in jail intentionally so that he can qualify for medical bail.

Recently, Delhi’s Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, has been imprisoned in Tihar Central Jail in connection with the liquor scam case, which was heard in the Rouse Avenue Court today. During this time, the ED revealed a major claim in court regarding the CM. As per their assertion, Kejriwal, despite being a type 2 diabetes patient, is intentionally consuming these items to increase his sugar levels and qualify for bail on medical grounds. Prior to this, Kejriwal had filed a plea stating his desire to stay connected with a doctor via video conferencing. However, his lawyers later withdrew this plea.

Kejriwal’s lawyers demanded a report from the jail

Meanwhile, in court today, the ED disclosed that Arvind Kejriwal is a type 2 diabetes patient. Despite this, he is consuming all these items intentionally to manipulate his medical condition and secure bail. In response, Kejriwal’s lawyers demanded a report from the jail, including his diet plan.

Next hearing scheduled for April 29th. It’s worth mentioning that on March 21st, the ED arrested CM Arvind Kejriwal in connection with the liquor scam case. After being in ED custody for nearly 10 days, he was sent to Tihar Jail for 15 days of judicial custody following a hearing in court on April 1st. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for April 29th in the Supreme Court.
