Emirates Airlines has announced a hefty bonus for its employees following a profit of nearly $5.1 billion. The company has declared that employees will receive a bonus equivalent to 20 weeks’ salary, effectively amounting to a bonus of 5 months’ salary.
The announcement of the bonus comes after the Dubai-based Emirates Group reported an annual profit of $5.1 billion on May 13, marking a remarkable 71% increase. This decision to grant bonuses to employees was made in light of the exceptional financial performance of the company for the fiscal year.
It is noteworthy that the airline company has set a new record for the second consecutive yearOver the past two years, the group’s profit has surged to $8.1 billion, surpassing the losses incurred during the pandemic years of 2020-2022.
Expressing his satisfaction with the financial results
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and CEO of the Emirates Group, shared the news on social media. He highlighted that the group had achieved its best-ever financial performance for the fiscal year 2023-24, recording record profits, revenues, and cash assets. The group’s profit reached AED 18.7 billion, a remarkable 71% increase compared to the previous year.
