The Vishnu Sai government in Chhattisgarh has brought a piece of good news for its officers and employees by revising the travel allowances and daily allowances rates. The Finance Department of the Chhattisgarh government issued an order to this effect, marking an increase after 2016.
Benefits Based on Categories
According to the order issued by the Finance Department, employees categorized under A, B, and C will now be eligible for travel via air-conditioned buses. Employees falling under category D will be eligible for travel via non-air-conditioned deluxe buses and video coaches.
Employees categorized as E will be eligible for travel via non-air-conditioned fast passenger and super express buses. Officers receiving HRA equivalent to HAG pay scale or above will be eligible for travel in executive class within the country.
Officers receiving salary level-14 (Grade Pay 7600) or higher will be eligible for travel in economy class within the country.
Additional Benefits for Grade Three Employees
Grade three employees will be entitled to the expenses of AC three-tier travel on Rajdhani Tejas and Vande Bharat trains. These employees will receive up to Rs. 1500 for lodging, up to Rs. 300 for meals, and up to Rs. 300 for taxi fare.
Benefits for Traveling by Car
Under the order, employees categorized as A and B will receive Rs. 12 per kilometer if they travel by their own car. Traveling by AC taxi will grant Rs. 14 per kilometer, provided there is a genuine receipt for the taxi journey.
Employees categorized as C will be eligible for Rs. 12 per kilometer if they travel by their own car.
This revision in allowances is a welcome move for government employees, providing them with improved benefits and facilitating their travel arrangements effectively.
