The attack left the elderly person badly wounded, with the dog inflicting deep wounds and causing significant bleeding. The victim’s son rushed them to the hospital, where they received treatment, including rabies injections.

The Madhya Pradesh Human Rights Commission has issued a notice to the Chief Secretary of the Madhya Pradesh Government in Bhopal, as well as the Principal Secretary of the Urban Development and Housing Ministry, also in Bhopal, demanding a response. The notice seeks answers regarding the neglect in managing and ensuring safe conditions related to the management of stray dogs in the state, which has resulted in life-threatening situations and accidents.
The commission has instructed both officials to provide a report on the actions taken to address the issue of stray dogs and prevent further incidents within two months. This directive is in response to observations made during compliance with directives issued in previous cases related to safeguarding the lives of the general public from stray dogs in the state.
