IMD Weather Update, Heavy Rainfall and Snowfall Likely in Arunachal Pradesh Until April 5, While Western Bengal, Vidarbha, and Jharkhand to Experience Warm Winds

As per the forecast issued by meteorologists, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall and snowfall in certain areas of Arunachal Pradesh from April 1 to April 5. Some places may experience significant precipitation and snowfall on April 1, with chances of heavy rainfall in Assam and Meghalaya. Different locations in Assam and Meghalaya are expected to witness heavy rainfall on April 1, 2, and 4. Moreover, there is a likelihood of heavy rainfall in Nagaland and Manipur on April 1.

According to Surinder Pratap Singh, a scientist from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), instances of rainfall were recorded in Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Sikkim, and Odisha, while certain areas in Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, and Meghalaya experienced heavy rainfall. Additionally, a thunderstorm occurred in the Jhalpai Gudi district of West Bengal yesterday afternoon, causing concern among the locals.

Heavy rainfall is also predicted in Assam and Meghalaya on April 1, 2, and 4, along with the likelihood of heavy rainfall in Nagaland and Manipur on April 1. Moreover, warm winds are expected to prevail in northern Karnataka, eastern Madhya Pradesh, and parts of Vidarbha and Jharkhand from April 3 to April 5.

The weather system currently affecting the region includes a cyclonic circulation over Assam and Bihar, as well as a western disturbance observed over the northern part of Uttar Pradesh. Furthermore, a trough line extending from Tamil Nadu to Madhya Pradesh is also influencing weather patterns in the region.
