IMD Weather Update: Warning of Rain and Storm in Central India, Possibility of Snowfall in J&K, Himachal, Uttarakhand

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings of rain and storms in some states, while others may experience snowfall. Here are the details of the weather forecast:

Rain and Storm Warning

In central India, including Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by strong winds, thunder, and lightning. IMD has also mentioned the likelihood of a cyclonic circulation affecting central Maharashtra and spreading from northern Gujarat to southern Tamil Nadu, impacting the weather.

Recent Weather Conditions

Over the past 24 hours, some areas in Tamil Nadu experienced hot weather, while rainfall was observed in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana. Additionally, there were reports of thunderstorms with light to moderate rain in parts of eastern Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Arunachal Pradesh, and other regions.

IMD Forecast

IMD has predicted the possibility of thunderstorms and intermittent rain with thunder in certain areas of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Vidarbha from today until April 13. Moreover, between April 10 and April 13, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands may experience some rainfall and thunderstorms due to a western disturbance expected to affect northwestern India.

Temperature Status

Parts of Kerala, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Assam are experiencing above-normal temperatures. Over the next five days, temperatures in eastern India are expected to gradually rise by approximately 3-5 degrees Celsius. Saurashtra and Kutch regions may experience heat over the next two days. Meanwhile, warm and humid weather is expected in Kerala and Maharashtra until April 11.
