The State Education Center has written a letter to district collectors, outlining the procedure to deposit a scholarship amount of Rs 600 per student directly into their bank accounts across 30 districts.
Scholarship for Government School Students: A Positive Step
For students enrolled in classes 1 to 8 in government schools across Madhya Pradesh, there is good news on the horizon. The State Education Center has communicated instructions to district collectors concerning the distribution of scholarships. Under these directives, students studying in government schools from Class 1 to 8 in 30 districts will receive a scholarship of Rs 600 per student.
Distribution Managed by Rural Livelihood Mission
The distribution of scholarships in 22 districts of MP is being facilitated by the State Rural Livelihood Mission. The self-help groups have been instructed to provide free uniforms to students by March 15. As part of this initiative, the scholarship amount of Rs 600 will be credited directly to the bank accounts of students enrolled in government schools.
CM Rise Schools Lead the Way
Students studying in classes 1 to 8 in CM Rise schools across the state will be the primary beneficiaries of this scholarship initiative. The scholarship funds will be disbursed through the educational institutions, ensuring a smooth process. District collectors have been instructed to oversee the allocation of Rs 600 per student directly into their bank accounts.
Educational Portal for Effective Management
To streamline the distribution of uniforms in government schools, an “Education Portal Ganvesh Distribution Management Module” has been created. This module aims to provide verified lists of eligible students at the development block level, facilitating the distribution process. The verified list of government school students wearing uniforms will be made available for development blocks.
Free Admission Online Application Process
In line with the Right to Education Act in the state, the admission process for free entry into non-government schools for weaker sections and disadvantaged groups for the academic year 2024-25 has commenced. The online application process for free admission is open, and after submitting the application, candidates are required to verify their details and submit necessary documents to the selected Jan Shiksha Kendra by March 5. Applications not verified by the stipulated date will be automatically canceled.
