An incident of deception has surfaced where individuals are engaging in fraudulent activities under the pretext of asking for directions. One such case has recently come to light, involving a woman who was approached by young men while she was heading to the market in Faridabad.
The incident occurred when a woman was stopped by a group of youths inquiring about the route to Gurugram. Subsequently, they engaged her in conversation, leading to a situation where her jewelry was taken. The Old Faridabad Police Station has registered a case, and an investigation has been initiated.Aashish Kumar, residing in Sector-19 with his family, reported the incident that took place around 5 PM on February 16. His wife, Madhuri, had gone to the Old Faridabad market to make purchases. While in the market, an unknown person approached her, asking for directions to Gurugram.
Encounter with Youths
Madhuri refused to disclose the route, and at this point, two more young men joined the scene. The trio engaged her in conversation, with one of them claiming he needed money to return home and was feeling hungry. The woman, along with the two men, went to a nearby store to buy food.At the shop, they purchased a packet of snacks and a bottle of water. One of the men took out money from his pocket and paid the shopkeeper. Afterward, the three men, in a cunning move, convinced the woman to remove her jewelry, claiming they needed it as collateral. Subsequently, they fled the scene.
The Old Faridabad Police Station has initiated an investigation into the incident, and efforts are underway to apprehend the culprits involved in this deceptive act.
