In a recent development, Congress Pradesh Adhyaksha (State President) Jitu Patwari has raised concerns about transfers of officers, including IAS and IPS officials, in Madhya Pradesh, accusing the BJP-led government of initiating a massive reshuffle. Patwari went on to state that despite the government turning a deaf ear to these issues, internal conflicts are brewing.
Jitu Patwari’s Critique
Patwari expressed his concerns on the widespread transfers of IAS and IPS officers, suggesting that the government’s indifference to the matter has led to internal disputes. He even hinted at the possibility of a “Transfer Factory” being established in Madhya Pradesh if the current situation persists.
Allegations Against BJP Government
The Congress leader penned down his thoughts, claiming that in Bhopal yesterday, he addressed the public about the top faces of the administration. Patwari highlighted a stark contrast, accusing the government of first witnessing deceit and unemployment, and now witnessing a new era of crime and debt. He accused the BJP government of manipulating registered data, engaging in malpractices during exams, and betraying promises made to the people.
Competition for Supremacy
Patwari underscored the ongoing competition for supremacy among the coordinators within the government. He revealed that behind the scenes, coordinators in the secretariat are engaging in fierce competition to become the “king.” The political leader expressed that this internal power struggle could lead to a situation where a “Transfer Factory” is established in Madhya Pradesh.
Concerns about Transfers
Highlighting the worrying aspect of bureaucrats prioritizing income over their duty, Patwari emphasized that when those in power consider earnings as a responsibility, it becomes detrimental to governance. He outlined key principles that should govern transfers in the administrative system, stressing on the need for just use of powers, impartial transfers, adherence to administrative needs, absence of external influence, and avoiding transfers for personal gain.
Patwari expressed hope that Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s government would strengthen Madhya Pradesh’s administrative capabilities through transfers, adhering to constitutional principles. He stressed the importance of respecting the constitutional order rather than wielding transfers as a tool for recovery. The concerns raised by Jitu Patwari shed light on the complex dynamics within the Madhya Pradesh government, prompting a need for a closer examination of administrative practices.
