Orders have been issued to guarantee the provision of adequate shade, fans, and water at all polling locations, prioritizing the well-being of voters and officials alike.

District Administration Initiates Polling Center Setup for Lok Sabha Elections 2024

The groundwork for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 has commenced with the establishment of polling centers under the supervision of the district administration. Responsibilities for preparing these centers have been delegated to the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of municipal corporations in urban areas and district panchayats in rural regions. District Panchayat CEO Siddharth Jain has directed all block-level CEOs to oversee the necessary arrangements at the polling centers, ensuring that they are fully operational and conducive to the electoral process.

In Indore, where the electoral landscape includes 13,717 differently-abled voters, efforts are underway to make polling centers accessible to all. Ramps are being constructed to facilitate the smooth entry and exit of voters with disabilities. Additionally, meticulous attention is being paid to the cleanliness and adornment of the buildings designated for voting. Plans are also in place to establish 21 model polling centers across the district, further enhancing the voting experience for citizens.

Collector Ashish Singh Imposes Leave Ban Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections 2024 in Indore

The Election Commission has already announced the polling dates for Lok Sabha elections 2024, with voting in Indore scheduled for May 13. Anticipating the significance of this electoral event, Collector and District Election Officer Ashish Singh has taken decisive action. In a bid to ensure maximum participation and efficiency, a ban has been imposed on leaves for all government officials and employees until further notice, encompassing both unplanned and earned leaves.
