Mahakaleshwar Temple to Host Somayagya from May 4th to 9th

The renowned Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain is gearing up to host a grand Somayagya from May 4th to May 9th. Preparation for this auspicious event has already commenced, with local scholars set to participate in the ceremony.

According to reports, the temple premises will see the construction of five havan kunds near the water column. Over the course of seven days, with the assistance of Vedic scholars from South India, offerings will be made to Lord Shiva using special medicinal herbs to invoke His blessings.

Which is being organized in accordance with a tradition dating back 5000 years. The event may witness the presence of dignitaries, including the head of the Sangh. However, temple officials have not yet issued any official statements regarding this matter.

While the significance of yajnas may not be explicitly mentioned in the context of Kali Yuga, devout individuals continue to observe these rituals.
