NEET UG 2024: Key Guidelines to Remember for Exam Day

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to conduct the NEET UG 2024 exam tomorrow, May 5th. The admit cards have already been released for the examination. Candidates appearing for the NEET UG exam this year need to adhere to certain rules and guidelines on exam day.

Reporting Time to the Exam Center

Candidates appearing for the NEET UG exam must ensure they reach the exam center on time. The reporting time mentioned on your admit card is crucial, and candidates must arrive at the center within the stipulated time frame. Entry to the exam center will be permitted from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. No candidates will be allowed entry after this time.

Mandatory ID Proof

Candidates must bring original identification proof such as Aadhar card, government-approved valid identity proof like PAN card, driving license, voter ID, 12th class board admit card or registration card, passport, or original school identity card. Any one of these IDs is mandatory for sitting in the NEET UG exam.

Restrictions on Electronic Devices

As per the guidelines issued by the NTA, electronic devices such as mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, etc., will not be allowed inside the examination hall. Additionally, candidates must carry their Aadhar card; a photo copy will not be considered valid. Moreover, pens will be provided to students at the examination center.

Other Important Points to Remember

  • Ensure that you complete all the necessary details on your admit card, such as affixing a photograph.
  • Bring your admit card to the exam center.
  • Carry a passport-size photograph to be affixed on the attendance sheet.
  • Candidates are required to provide their signature in the presence of the invigilator.
  • Candidates can wear color dresses like trousers or pants, half shirts, or T-shirts. However, full shirts are not permitted. Additionally, female candidates can wear salwar kameez, leggings, pants or trousers, T-shirts, and kurtis.
  • Candidates can wear slippers or simple shoes for the NEET UG exam.
  • Ensure to fill in your roll number, paper code, question paper, and personal details carefully on the OMR sheet.

Adhering to these guidelines will ensure a smooth and hassle-free examination experience for all NEET UG 2024 candidates.
