New Fuel Prices Spark Concerns in Madhya Pradesh

On April 3rd, the prices of petrol and diesel were revised across several cities in Madhya Pradesh, resulting in an increase in fuel costs. This adjustment comes amidst fluctuations in global crude oil prices, with Brent Crude surpassing $89 per barrel in the global market. Currently, WTI (West Texas Intermediate) is trading at $85.18 per barrel. Responding to the rapid changes in crude oil prices, oil companies have updated the rates for petrol and diesel in various states, including Madhya Pradesh.

States Witnessing Price Changes

States such as Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Telangana, and Uttarakhand have experienced price hikes. Conversely, minor reductions have been observed in West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Punjab, Karnataka, Haryana, and Bihar.

Price Adjustments in MP Districts

In several cities of Madhya Pradesh, significant increases in petrol and diesel prices have been noted. Balaghat, Bhopal, Guna, Jabalpur, Mandla, Morena, Sehore, and Ujjain have seen fuel rate hikes. Meanwhile, Vidisha, Satna, Katni, Dhar, Bhind, and Ashoknagar have witnessed slight reductions.

Current Fuel Rates in MP

In the capital city of Bhopal, petrol prices have risen by 36 paise per litre, reaching Rs. 106.47 per litre. Diesel is priced at Rs. 91.84 per litre in the same city. As of April 3rd, petrol prices per litre in Jabalpur, Khandwa, Gwalior, Indore, and Ujjain stand at Rs. 106.95, Rs. 107.18, Rs. 106.40, Rs. 106.40, and Rs. 106.84 respectively. Diesel prices per litre in Indore, Jabalpur, Rewa, Gwalior, and Ujjain are Rs. 91.80, Rs. 92.31, Rs. 94.06, Rs. 91.78, and Rs. 92.19 respectively.
