Following the recent reduction in LPG gas cylinder prices, there is hope for relief in petrol and diesel prices as well. However, on Saturday, the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh, made it clear that the government is not currently planning any reduction in fuel prices. On March 12, oil companies released the revised rates for petrol and diesel.
Changes in Various States
Changes in petrol and diesel prices have been observed in several states, including Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, and West Bengal. Reductions have been reported in Jharkhand, Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Mizoram, Nagaland, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Punjab today.
Surge in Crude Oil Prices
Global markets have witnessed another surge in crude oil prices. Brent crude has reached $82.44 per barrel, showing a 0.28% increase. WTI crude is priced at $78.09 per barrel, reflecting a 0.21% increase.
Current Fuel Status in Madhya Pradesh
Several districts in Madhya Pradesh have witnessed changes in fuel prices today. In Raisen, the price of petrol has increased by 97 paise, reaching Rs. 108.56 per liter. In addition to this, there has been a reduction in fuel rates in Burhanpur, Dewas, Mandla, Narsinghpur, Morena, Panna, Rewa, Sagar, Shahdol, Shajapur, Tikamgarh, Singrauli, Ujjain, and Vidisha. In Dewas, there is a decrease of Rs. 1.22 in the price of petrol, bringing it to Rs. 108.56 per liter, while diesel is priced at Rs. 93.84 per liter.
In Bhopal, there is a reduction of 33 paise in petrol prices, making it Rs. 108.32 per liter. Diesel, on the other hand, is priced at Rs. 93.61 per liter, with a reduction of 29 paise. In Indore, the current petrol price is Rs. 108.64 per liter, and diesel is priced at Rs. 93.92 per liter.
Ujjain reports petrol prices at Rs. 109 per liter and diesel at Rs. 94.25 per liter. Anuppur, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Rewa, and Shahdol have witnessed petrol prices crossing Rs. 111 per liter and diesel reaching Rs. 96 per liter.
