Petrol and Diesel Prices: Petrol Touches ₹82 After Reduction, Diesel at ₹78 – Check Prices in Your City

After a recent reduction in fuel prices, oil companies have announced new rates for petrol and diesel. In many states, the price of petrol has dropped below ₹100 per liter.

Petrol and Diesel Price Today

The central government has reduced petrol and diesel prices by ₹2 on Thursday night. On March 15, oil companies released the new rates for fuel. Currently, Andaman and Nicobar Islands have the cheapest fuel prices, with petrol priced at ₹82.42 per liter and diesel at ₹78.01 per liter.

Petrol Prices Below ₹100 in These States

In several states, the price of petrol has fallen below ₹100:

  • Gujarat
  • Haryana
  • Himachal Pradesh
  • Jharkhand
  • Manipur

  • Uttarakhand

In these states, the price of diesel has also dropped below ₹90 per liter. However, in states like Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and West Bengal, petrol prices remain above ₹100 per liter.

Crude Oil Prices

The price of crude oil has surpassed $85 per barrel in the global market. Brent crude is priced at $85.27 per barrel, while WTI crude is priced at $81.14 per barrel.

Current Situation in Madhya Pradesh

In several cities of Madhya Pradesh, the price of petrol has dropped below ₹107 per liter. Bhopal, along with Devas, Harda, Hoshangabad, Indore, Ratlam, and Sehore, have witnessed this drop. However, in cities like Anuppur, Burhanpur, and Shahdol, petrol prices remain above ₹109 per liter. In Ujjain, petrol is priced at ₹107.10 per liter and diesel at ₹92.44 per liter. In Indore, petrol is priced at ₹106.93 per liter and diesel at ₹92.29 per liter. Gwalior has seen a drop in petrol prices to ₹106.40 per liter. In Jabalpur, petrol is priced at ₹106.49 per liter and diesel at ₹91.88 per liter.
