As per the latest update on the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, the 17th installment is expected to be disbursed soon. Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive financial assistance of ₹6000 annually, provided in three equal installments of ₹2000 each every four months. This financial aid is directly transferred to the bank accounts of registered farmers through the DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) system.
It’s important to note that to avail of this benefit, farmers must fulfill certain criteria, including linking their Aadhaar card with their bank account and completing the land verification process. Failure to complete these tasks may result in the delay or non-receipt of the next installment, or even the freezing of the payment.
Considering the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and the enforcement of the model code of conduct, it’s speculated that the next installment could be released between April and June. However, the official confirmation of the exact date is pending.
To ensure smooth processing and receipt of the next installment, farmers are advised to complete the following tasks
- Link Aadhaar Card with Bank Account: Farmers must ensure that their Aadhaar card is linked with their bank account to receive the installment.
- Complete eKYC: Visit the official PM Kisan Yojana website and navigate to the “e-KYC” section under the Farmer Corner. Provide your Aadhaar number and follow the instructions to complete the eKYC process.
- Verify Land Details: It’s crucial for farmers to verify their land details to confirm their eligibility for the scheme.
Additionally, farmers should rectify any discrepancies in their application details, such as name, Aadhaar number, bank account number, address, etc., to avoid any issues with the installment disbursement.
To check the status of their application and installment, farmers can follow these steps
- Visit the official PM Kisan Yojana website.
- Navigate to the “Farmers Corner” and select the “Beneficiary Status” option.
- Enter the PM Kisan account number or registered mobile number.
- If the phone number is not registered, complete the registration process by entering the OTP received on the mobile number.
- Click on “Get Data” to view the status of your account on the screen.
By completing these tasks in a timely manner, farmers can ensure that they receive the next installment without any delays or issues.
