The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme stands as one of the pivotal initiatives of the central government. Under this scheme, millions of farmers receive an annual benefit of Rs. 6000 in three equal installments of Rs. 2000 each every four months. This benefit is extended to farmers who own up to 2 hectares of land and are citizens of India. The money is transferred directly to the bank accounts of the farmers through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanism. As of now, the 16th installment has been disbursed, and the release of the 17th installment is imminent.
When will the 17th Installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi be Released?
As per the rules of the PM Kisan Yojana, the first installment is disbursed between April and July, the second installment between August and November, and the third installment between December and March. In other words, the 17th installment is expected to be released between April and July. Considering that Lok Sabha elections are scheduled between April and June, and with the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct, there is speculation that the next installment might be disbursed in June, as the election results are expected by June 4th. However, official confirmation regarding the date is still pending.
Who Will Benefit from the 17th Installment?
It’s essential to note that only those farmers who have completed the eKYC process and linked their bank accounts with Aadhaar are eligible for this installment. Farmers can complete the eKYC process either through the OTP-based eKYC available on the PM-KISAN portal or through biometric-based eKYC at the Common Service Centres (CSC) for Farmers. To complete the eKYC process, farmers need to fill out the eKYC form, submit the required documents, and undergo biometric verification.
How to Complete the eKYC Process?
Farmers can visit the official PM Kisan Yojana website and click on the ‘e-KYC’ option under the Farmer Corner. They need to provide their Aadhaar number, after which an OTP will be sent to their mobile number for verification.
If farmers face any issues related to the PM Kisan Yojana, they can contact the authorities via email at [email protected] or through the helpline numbers: 155261 or 1800115526 (Toll Free) or 011-23381092.
Checking the Status and Beneficiary List
Farmers can check their registration status and view the beneficiary list by visiting the PM-KISAN portal. By entering their registration number or mobile number, they can ascertain their status. Moreover, they can download the beneficiary list to see who in their village is benefiting from this scheme.
Completing the eKYC process and ensuring that all necessary documents are in place are crucial steps for farmers to receive the upcoming installment under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. With timely action and adherence to the guidelines, farmers can continue to benefit from this scheme aimed at their welfare and prosperity.
