Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his second day of the Assam tour, visited Kaziranga National Park on Saturday morning. Information suggests that between 5 to 6 AM, he enjoyed a jungle safari, sitting atop an elephant, followed by an extensive tour of the entire park in a jeep. The safari included the company of Park Director Sonali Ghosh and a Senior Forest Officer accompanying the Prime Minister.

He expressed, “Everyone should visit this national park.” Sharing a picture of feeding sugarcane to an elephant, he wrote, “This place is known for rhinoceros, but there are also a large number of elephants.”

Kaziranga National Park, granted the status of a national park in 1974, is celebrating its golden jubilee this year. Notably, it was declared a World Heritage Site in 1985.
