Railway Minister Announces Operation of 50 New Amrit Bharat Trains

The Indian government, keeping the economically weaker sections in mind, initiated the Amrit Bharat Train services not long ago. Prime Minister Modi inaugurated two Amrit Bharat Trains on December 30, and since then, these trains have gained popularity among travelers.

Recently, the Indian Railways, with a focus on passenger convenience, introduced two Amrit Bharat Express trains. The first train traveled from Darbhanga to Anand Vihar Terminal, while the second train journeyed from Malda Town to Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal (Bengaluru). Following the successful launch of these two trains, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav announced that the central government has approved 50 more Amrit Bharat Express trains.

Minister Ashwini Vaishnav shared the news of the approval of 50 new Amrit Bharat Express trains on the government’s ‘Make in India’ social media platform. These trains represent a modern and advanced addition to the Indian Railways’ fleet, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing public services.

It operates at a speed of 130 km/h with a 6,000 hp WAP5 locomotive. Two engines are installed in the train due to its high-speed nature. Minister Ashwini Vaishnav highlighted the advantages of this push-pull setup, stating that it provides convenience to passengers on bridges and curves.
