Recent reports suggest that Salman Khan and his family might be contemplating a shift from their long-time residence in Mumbai following a shooting incident outside their Bandra apartment. Arbaaz Khan, Salman’s brother, shed light on the matter in a recent interview.
Arbaaz addressed questions about the firing incident outside Salman’s residence during an interaction with Zoom. When asked if Salman and their family were considering relocating from Galaxy Apartment due to alleged death threats, Arbaaz emphasized the significance of the place in their lives. He highlighted that both their father, veteran lyricist Salim Khan, and Salman have lived in the apartment for years, and simply moving locations might not alleviate the perceived threats.
“Do you think it (threats) will get dissipated?
Like tomorrow, if you move the location, you think if there is an impending threat, it’ll go away. If that were the case, yes, one would do that. But the reality is that it’s not going away,” Arbaaz remarked. He underscored that despite any threats, their attachment to the place remains strong, indicating that vacating the premises might not necessarily resolve the underlying concerns.
Arbaaz elaborated on the importance of maintaining a sense of normalcy despite potential threats, stating, “So, the only thing that one can do is take precaution at the highest level, personally you can take or what the government can provide for you in his case and try to live your life as normal as possible.” He emphasized the futility of living in constant fear, suggesting that taking necessary precautions while continuing with their daily lives might be the most viable approach.
The shooting incident, which occurred on April 14
Involved two individuals firing four rounds outside Salman’s residence before fleeing the scene. Mumbai Police subsequently arrested two suspects in connection with the incident and have been investigating further. Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi are among those implicated in the case.
As Salman Khan and his family navigate through this challenging situation, their decision regarding their future residence remains awaited, with considerations of safety and personal attachment likely playing significant roles in their deliberations.
